Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026. This is a starter policy, so have it reviewed by counsel before relying on it commercially.

1. What we collect

  • Account data: email address and authentication identifiers when you create an account (via email or Google).
  • Scan data: the website and query you submit, the AI engine responses we retrieve for you, and derived visibility metrics.
  • Usage data: an anonymous first-party visitor identifier, plus standard request logs (IP address, user agent) used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.

2. How we use it

To run your scans, show you your reports, enforce fair-use limits, improve the product, and, if you opt in, send you product updates. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Third parties

Scan prompts are sent to AI model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity) via our aggregation provider to produce your results. Your account is stored with our database and authentication provider (Supabase). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security terms.

4. Cookies

We use strictly necessary first-party cookies only: an anonymous visitor id (to key your free scans and prevent abuse) and authentication session cookies when you log in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of. Deleting cookies in your browser removes ours.

5. Retention & deletion

Scan history is retained while your account is active. Email privacy@glasskoala.com to request export or deletion of your data. We honor requests within 30 days.
